Bricks and tiles, it's been a while

You'll find this abandoned showroom on the corner where Scarborough and London meet - a forgotten landmark.

St Andrew the Apostle Church

Here's a new photo I took of the Apostle Church after happy snapping Hyde Park across the road, but didn't have time to take more as I had a coffee date to show up for in Northbridge. After coffee (spiced hot chocolate at 399, very much recommended!) we went snapping down the east side of William St till the Horse Shoe Bridge (still under maintenance). More William St streetscape posts soon to come!

Hyde Park

French St

This is the view back at Perth from Joondanna/ Tuart Hill. It's the perfect place to watch the fireworks! And for kids seeking thrills, it's perfect for riding really really fast down a hill. Infact, I remember going down that hill when I was twelve on my brother's bmx (the ones that break by pedalling backwards) and freaking out halfway down because I couldn't slow down. It resulted in me crossing an intersection (luckily not busy) and crashing into a sandpit infront of a house under rennovation. My dad and brother ran after me laughing. A passerby stopped to ask if I was alright before walking away quickly to smother, I'm sure, his sniggering.

King Neptune

Happy snapping away at the Sea Rescue shack I turn around to find King Neptune peering at us behind trees and shrubs. What the?! Paul informs me that the place used to be an amusement park once upon a time. Venturing closer to King Neptune we found the barb wire fence torn and gaping in some parts. The gates weren't locked and there were no signs advising us to not go on. The walk up the hill was CREEPY. At one point Paul ventured ahead of me and I not realising that I was lagging behind, literally ran to catch up with him. Don't leave me alone in this place! King Neptune upon our arrival was quite a sight. One blue and red eye with green teeth, we joked about Neptune's rather unimaginative makeover restricted to only the cosmetic department.
